    Fairy tales come true when you and your family dress up for a royal evening at a private palace in Vienna – the Baroque, 18th-century Palais Pallavicini – just for Tauck Bridges families that transports you to another time. Dinner is served in a ballroom gilded in gold and bathed in the glimmering light of crystal chandeliers. Dancers in traditional dress waltz into the ballroom while musicians play their instruments with regal precision and harmony. And those childhood dreams of meeting a prince or being a princess? This is where they become real.

    Marzipan is a sweet candy confection – traditionally made from sugar or honey and ground almonds, and often formed into pastries or shapes – that can be found around the world. Asia, the Americas, the Middle East and most regions of Europe all have marzipan-making traditions. And you'll discover Germany's love affair with this sweet concoction with a demonstration in Passau that lets you try your hand at making your own tasty tidbit in the shape of a face... very popular in this "city of three rivers."

    We saw memorable and historical sites on a our Danube trip but Tauck managed to make it so much fun for our three generations traveling together.
